Keyboard shortcuts in ReadyPixl

Every keyboard shortcut in the ReadyPixl editor — undo, redo, the Spacebar move trick, and the help center search.

ReadyPixl has a small set of keyboard shortcuts. Worth memorizing — they speed up everything.

Editor shortcuts

What you pressWhat it does
Ctrl + Z (Windows / Linux) or Cmd + Z (Mac)Undo your last edit
Ctrl + Y (Windows / Linux) or Cmd + Y (Mac)Redo
Ctrl + Shift + Z or Cmd + Shift + ZRedo (alternative)
Spacebar (hold)Temporarily switch to the Move tool — useful for panning the canvas while you're erasing or magic-wanding. Release Spacebar to return to your previous tool.
EscClose any open dialog, dropdown, or menu

Undo and redo work on:

  • Pipeline edits (adding, removing, reordering tools)
  • Tool setting changes
  • Manual touch-ups with the Eraser or Magic Wand

The undo stack depth scales based on your image size — bigger images get a smaller stack to keep the browser responsive. For most workflows you'll have 8-20 undos available at any moment.

Help center shortcut

When you're on helpcenter.readypixl.com:

What you pressWhat it does
Ctrl + K (Windows / Linux) or Cmd + K (Mac)Open the search bar

Type a question or keyword and the search returns matching articles — and if the AI chatbot is enabled, an AI-generated answer too.

Browser shortcuts that matter

These aren't ReadyPixl-specific but matter for your workflow:

What you pressWhat it does
Ctrl + R or Cmd + RRefresh the page. ⚠️ Wipes your loaded images and pipeline if not saved as a preset.
Ctrl + Shift + R or Cmd + Shift + RHard refresh (clears cache). Same warning.
Ctrl + TabSwitch tabs. ReadyPixl pauses background tabs — keep ReadyPixl in front during a batch run.

What's coming

We don't yet have shortcuts for:

  • Adding a specific tool (you click in the sidebar)
  • Loading a saved preset (you click in the dropdown)
  • Triggering Download All (you click the button)

If you'd find shortcuts for these useful, let us know via the Feedback link in the help center — we read every suggestion.

Tips

  • Cmd / Ctrl + Z is your friend. Don't be afraid to experiment with pipeline settings. Undo brings you back instantly.
  • Hold Spacebar when you need to look around the canvas while in the middle of erasing or magic-wanding. Release and you're back to your editing tool.
  • Ctrl + K on the help center opens search instantly — faster than clicking the search bar.
