What ReadyPixl costs

Free web version, Pro, Chrome extension, desktop app, and credits — what you get with each and which one is right for you.

ReadyPixl has a free web version, a Pro account option, and a paid desktop app. Most people can start with the free web version. Upgrade only when you need more downloads, the Chrome extension, or desktop-only features.

The free web version — forever

The web version at readypixl.com is free, forever. All 14 tools, the full pipeline, batch processing — all free.

What "free" means here: free. Not a free trial. Not "free until you actually use it." Just free. The web version is the main product.

What you can do with it right now (all free):

  • Remove backgrounds (Color Removal)
  • Resize images
  • Cut off empty edges (Trim)
  • Put an image on a custom-sized canvas (Reposition)
  • Rotate, flip, or erase corners
  • Clean up tiny stray pixels
  • Adjust brightness, contrast, color
  • Apply filters and grunge effects
  • Add decorative borders
  • Add text or image watermarks

Paid AI tools (use credits):

  • AI Background Removal — for images where the regular background remover isn't good enough. 15 credits per image (~1.5¢).
  • AI Upscale — makes small images bigger without making them blurry. 10 credits per image (~1¢).

Both call outside AI services, which is why they cost credits. Credits are $1 per 1,000 credits. Sign in to use these. The free tools handle most jobs without needing either one.

How the free version stays free: we run a few small ads on the website. They're for tools and services other people in your world use — print-on-demand suppliers, AI image services, Etsy tools. We never use Google AdSense or generic banner ads.

Pro account — paid monthly

Pro is for people who use ReadyPixl often and want higher account limits.

The current app fallback price is $14.99/month. Check the account or pricing page for the exact live price before buying.

Pro includes:

  • Unlimited web-version downloads.
  • Unlimited Chrome extension downloads.
  • A monthly bonus credit grant for paid AI tools.
  • No generic account limits while your Pro subscription is active.

Chrome extension — included with account access

The Chrome extension lets you use ReadyPixl on images from almost any website.

The extension adds a + button to images on sites like Midjourney, ChatGPT, Leonardo, Google Images, and stock image sites. One click sends the image into a ReadyPixl side panel.

Extension download limits:

Who it's for: people who work inside Midjourney, ChatGPT, Leonardo, or stock image sites a lot. Also anyone tired of the ads on the free web version.

Desktop app — paid

The desktop app is ReadyPixl packaged as a native app for Windows and macOS. Same pipeline idea, with desktop-only power.

The headline feature: free local AI upscaling. Web-version users pay credits for AI Upscale. Desktop users get a local Upscaler (free) tool with no per-image credit cost.

Other niceties:

  • 7-day free trial with no credit card
  • One-time purchase after the trial
  • $89 regular price
  • $49 launch price while the launch offer is active
  • 1 year of free updates included
  • No ads, ever
  • Windows Explorer / macOS Finder right-click actions
  • CLI / Automation tools for heavier batch work

Who it's for: people who'll use AI Upscale heavily (the savings on credits adds up fast), people who prefer apps to browser tabs, or anyone working offline.

Which one should you pick?

  • Just trying it out — free web version, no account. Upgrade only when you need to.
  • Use it regularly, want to save work — free web version, free signup. 100 batches a day and your presets sync.
  • Work inside Midjourney or similar sites a lot — Chrome extension. The + button is the killer feature.
  • Need unlimited extension downloads — Pro.
  • Going to use AI Upscale on lots of images — desktop app. Local upscaling beats paying credits per image.

Paid versions are always optional. The free web version stays free and full-featured forever — that's the whole point.
