Frequently asked questions

Quick answers to the most common questions about ReadyPixl — is it really free, who uses it, where your images go, and more.

Is ReadyPixl really free?

Yes. The web version is free, forever. Not a free trial. Not "free for 30 days." Just free. Every tool, the full pipeline, batch processing — all free.

We pay for it with a few small ads in the web version. The ads are for tools and services that print-on-demand sellers, Etsy shops, and AI creators actually use — never Google AdSense or generic banners.

Do I need an account?

No. You can use ReadyPixl right now without signing up.

If you don't sign up, you can do 10 batches per day. If you sign up (takes 30 seconds, just needs your email), you can do 100 batches per day — and your saved pipelines follow you between devices.

Where do my images go when I use ReadyPixl?

They stay on your computer. In your browser, your images never get sent to our servers. Ever. All the editing happens on your device.

The one exception is the two paid AI tools (AI Background Removal and AI Upscale). Those call outside AI services, so using them does send the image out. They're clearly labeled and they cost credits to use (sign-in required). Everything else stays on your computer.

You can read the full privacy policy at readypixl.com/privacy.

Can I use the images I edit for business?

Yes. You own the images you start with, and you own the finished images. ReadyPixl is just a tool — we don't claim any rights to anything you put in or take out. Use the finished images for your print-on-demand shop, Etsy listings, client work, anywhere.

The one thing to remember: you need to have the rights to the original images in the first place. ReadyPixl doesn't give you permission to use images that aren't yours.

Is there a watermark on images from the free version?

No. Nothing is added to your images.

What kinds of image files does ReadyPixl accept?

You can drop in: PNG, JPEG, WebP, GIF, and SVG files. (For GIFs, the first frame is used — animation isn't preserved.)

You get back: PNG, JPEG, or WebP files (your choice).

HEIC (iPhone images), TIFF, PSD, and RAW camera files aren't supported. You'll need to save them as PNG or JPEG first. Most phones and computers can do this — on Mac, open in Preview and save as JPEG. On Windows, open in Photos and save as JPEG.

How many images can I run at once?

Hundreds usually work great. The sweet spot is about 50 to 500 images per batch. If you need to run 2,000 or more, it's easier to split them into smaller batches.

Single image files in the hundreds of megabytes can run into trouble — but for normal images, size isn't an issue.

Can I use ReadyPixl without internet?

The web version needs internet to load the page the first time. Once the page is loaded, the actual editing happens on your computer, so you could disconnect and still edit. But saving pipelines to your account needs internet.

The desktop app runs without internet once it's installed.

Does ReadyPixl work on my phone or tablet?

Kind of — you can open readypixl.com on a phone browser for small batches or to check results. But serious bulk work is much easier on a computer. We don't have a dedicated phone app.

How much do AI Background Removal and AI Upscale cost?

Both are paid tools that use credits:

  • AI Background Removal: 15 credits per image (~1.5¢)
  • AI Upscale: 10 credits per image (~1¢)

Credits are $1 per 1,000 credits. You need to sign in to use these. The free tools handle most jobs without needing either one.

Do you have a public API?

Not yet. The Chrome extension uses our own internal APIs. A public API for developers and ecom teams is on the plan for later.

Is there a team plan?

Not yet. If you want shared pipelines and team billing, let us know — the more people who ask for it, the faster we build it.

What's QuickPixl?

ReadyPixl's sister tool. It's a template engine — you build a template with slots for text and images, then feed it a spreadsheet of data and it spits out thousands of finished designs automatically. ReadyPixl edits images you already have. QuickPixl creates new ones from templates. QuickPixl comes out after ReadyPixl is rock solid.

How do I report a bug or ask for a new feature?

Click the Feedback link in the help center. The more you tell us, the better — what you were trying to do, what you expected, and what actually happened. Screenshots help a lot.
