What ReadyPixl costs

Free web version, Chrome extension, desktop app — what you get with each and which one is right for you.

ReadyPixl has one free version and two paid extras. Most people only ever use the free version. The paid extras exist for people who want more power, more places to use ReadyPixl, or unlimited AI features.

The free web version — forever

The web version at readypixl.com is free, forever. All 14 tools, the full pipeline, batch processing — all free.

What "free" means here: free. Not a free trial. Not "free until you actually use it." Just free. The web version is the main product.

What you can do with it right now (all free):

  • Remove backgrounds (Color Removal)
  • Resize images
  • Cut off empty edges (Trim)
  • Put an image on a custom-sized canvas (Reposition)
  • Rotate, flip, or erase corners
  • Clean up tiny stray pixels
  • Adjust brightness, contrast, color
  • Apply filters and grunge effects
  • Add decorative borders
  • Add text or image watermarks

Paid AI tools (use credits):

  • AI Background Removal — for images where the regular background remover isn't good enough. 15 credits per image (~1.5¢).
  • AI Upscale — makes small images bigger without making them blurry. 10 credits per image (~1¢).

Both call outside AI services, which is why they cost credits. Credits are $1 per 1,000 credits. Sign in to use these. The free tools handle most jobs without needing either one.

How the free version stays free: we run a few small ads on the website. They're for tools and services other people in your world use — print-on-demand suppliers, AI image services, Etsy tools. We never use Google AdSense or generic banner ads.

Chrome extension — paid

The Chrome extension gives you everything in the free web version, plus:

  • No more ads in the web version while you're signed in
  • Use ReadyPixl on any website. The extension adds a "+" button to images on sites like Midjourney, ChatGPT, Leonardo, and stock image sites. One click sends the image straight into a ReadyPixl pipeline — no downloading and re-uploading.
  • A monthly bundle of AI credits for AI Background Removal and AI Upscale
  • Keyboard shortcuts to run your saved pipelines on any image you're looking at

Pricing being finalized. We'll confirm exact pricing closer to launch.

Who it's for: people who work inside Midjourney, ChatGPT, Leonardo, or stock image sites a lot. Also anyone tired of the ads on the free web version.

Desktop app — paid

The desktop app is the same ReadyPixl you use in your browser, packaged as a native app for Mac, Windows, and Linux. Same tools, same pipeline, same UI.

The headline feature: unlimited AI Upscale. Web-version users pay per image (10 credits each). Desktop users get it included with no per-image cost — if you upscale a lot, the desktop app pays for itself fast.

Other niceties:

  • Works offline once installed
  • No ads, ever
  • Cross-platform — Mac, Windows, Linux

Pricing being finalized. We'll confirm exact pricing closer to launch.

Who it's for: people who'll use AI Upscale heavily (the savings on credits adds up fast), people who prefer apps to browser tabs, or anyone working offline.

Which one should you pick?

  • Just trying it out — free web version, no account. Upgrade only when you need to.
  • Use it regularly, want to save work — free web version, free signup. 100 batches a day and your presets sync.
  • Work inside Midjourney or similar sites a lot — Chrome extension. The "+" button is the killer feature.
  • Going to use AI Upscale on lots of images — desktop app. Unlimited upscale beats paying per image.

Paid versions are always optional. The free web version stays free and full-featured forever — that's the whole point.
